About the piece:
By filming and superimposing scenes several times, an immersive ballet evening was created that the audience can literally experience from the center of the stage.
Inspiration was provided by the varied electronic music that the British musician Robin Rimbaud alias »Scanner« on his album »Pavilion d'Armide / Amaranth«Has published. For this purpose, the dancers of the company developed three improvisational variants of a dance solo.
The video material of these choreographies was assembled for the audience into a 360 ° video especially for the VR glasses, in which the audience, seated in the center of the action, becomes part of this unique work as well as the dancers' dialogue partner. In addition, unfamiliar perspectives open up: The viewer can let his or her gaze wander freely in the 360 ° video and look for his / her own perspective, while the solos to pas de deux and pas are created by fading and duplicating the solo recordings de Trois join. It seems as if the dancers are also looking for their perspective at the moment of the performance and as a spectator you can experience it directly through the VR glasses.
